Chicago Map of Attractions, Tours and Neighborhoods

Chicago is a flat grid with a lake on one side and a river through the middle, which makes it one of the easiest big cities to read from a map. Museum Campus sits south of the Loop on its own lakefront spur. The Magnificent Mile runs north from the river. Wrigley Field is five miles up the Red Line and Hyde Park is seven miles down the Metra. This page puts every place on the site in one picture so you can group your days by geography instead of by list order.

The City on One Live Map

Start here if you are still deciding where to stay. The embed below is the ordinary interactive map, useful for judging a hotel against a train line or working out whether two things are genuinely walkable. Downtown distances flatter themselves on paper: the Loop to Navy Pier looks short and takes twenty-five minutes on foot, and Museum Campus is further from the Bean than a map glance suggests.

Every Place on This Site, Plotted to Scale

This one is drawn from the site's own data rather than served from a tile provider. Every point is a surveyed coordinate geocoded against OpenStreetMap, plotted at true scale with the coastline, the river, the parks and the street grid underneath it, so the distances you read off it are real. The chips dim the groups you are not looking at instead of removing them, because a map that deletes the parks when you ask about museums is no longer telling you where anything is. Each numbered card opens that place's own page.

Where the day starts, and the forty mapped points around it A true-scale plot of 41 real coordinates read from OpenStreetMap, north upwards. Oslo Sentrum is the ringed point. Every other point is one mapped place, coloured by which set it belongs to and numbered to match the cards below. The grid squares are 5 km across. Twenty-eight points sit within a few metres of a neighbour, so they have been nudged apart just far enough to stay readable. A dashed line runs back to the true position. Distances on the cards are straight-line figures between the mapped coordinates, not road distances and not walking times. Filter Every Tour by Duration, Rating and Kind

Every figure in this table comes from the operator's own listing: the rating, the review count, the stated duration and the from-price. The live listing stays the authority on availability, and that is where you book.

What the listing includes

Inclusion labels come from each listing's own title, so they narrow the list rather than promise anything: a tour with no label may still include the thing you care about. Prices are from-prices on the live booking page and shift with date and group size.
